Setting up your bank account

Setting up your bank account

Linking your bank account with Adozi enables your school to collect credit and debit card payments. Without linking a bank account your school will not be able to enforce prepayment or cancellation policies. Only the school owner, not any employee instructors for the school, can view or management the bank accounts linked with Adozi. Adozi utilizes a third party, Stripe, to securely manage banking transactions. At no point does Adozi directly retain your sensitive banking information.

Getting ready

To follow this guide you must:
  1. Be logged into Adozi as a "Business Owner."
During this process you will need the following information:
  1. Phone number.
  2. Legal name of payee.
  3. Tax reporting structure of payee.
    1. A Limited Liability Corporation (C-Corp, S-Corp, LLC), entity with Employer Identification Number.
    2. Sole Proprietorship, no incorporation, reporting income with your personal Tax Identification Number.
  4. Business related identifying information of the payee, including but not limited to:
    1. Date of birth
    2. Home or business address
  5. Bank account number.
  6. Bank routing number.

Linking your bank account

  1. Navigate to "Organization."
  2. Select "Accounting."
  3. Select the "+" button. Adozi will now launch you into the "Stripe" payment processing system.
  4. The email address you used to register with Adozi will be prefilled, select "Continue."
  5. Enter a phone number capable of receiving a text message. Stripe will send you a text message with a code for confirmation.
  6. After receiving the code, copy and paste (or type) the code into Stripe.
  7. You are now prompted to "Tell us about your business." Please fill in the information to match your local tax filing obligations. This page will vary depending on the legal structure you are working under.
  8. "Professional details" page:
    1. Describe the industry you participate in. We recommend you consider "Education" or "Entertainment and Recreation" as they may be a good fit.
    2. Please provide a link to your online presence. You can use a website or even link to an Adozi profile.
  9. "Select an account for payouts" page will enable you to automatically (but securely) link your bank account to your Stripe and Adozi account. Or you can manually enter in your banking information. Here, the process will vary based upon your banking provider.
Upon complete of the stripe process you will be returned to your "Accounting" page in Adozi and you will be able to see the linked bank account.
